Services:

"Add a Key" - This option is if you have an existing key with a functioning key blade. You will send us your EWS control module and working key and we will program the new key using your EWS module and perform key blade cutting by copying your existing key blade.

"All Keys Lost" - This option is if you have lost all original keys. This is a more complex service as we do not have an existing key blade to use to cut your new key blade. With no original key available, we must decode your driver's door lock cylinder to cut your new blade with. Once the door lock cylinder has been decoded we will cut your new blade and program the key.

Optional Extra Keys:

Dealer Style Remote Key - $95/each

Transponder Key (no remote functionality) - $65/each

Emergency keys (can be used to unlock doors and trunk in case of a lockout. Emergency keys do not have transponders and cannot be used to start the vehicle) - $20/each

What to do after purchasing this service:

Step 1 - Remove your EWS3 or EWS4 module from the vehicle:

You are required to remove your EWS3 or EWS4 control module from your vehicle. If you need guidance send us your VIN and we will send you an instructional on how to remove it from your vehicle. We have factory repair instructions as well as YouTube videos available

Plan ahead and park the vehicle in a spot where it can sit until you receive your module and new key back

Step 2 - Remove your driver door lock cylinder from the vehicle:

Required for "All Keys Lost" & optional but recommended for "Add A Key" for highest chance of key blade cutting accuracy. Removal of the door lock cylinder is very easy on E46, E53, E83 chassis, some vehicles are more difficult. There's typically only one Allen type cap screw that needs to be loosened in order to remove the lock cylinder from the door on above mentioned models.

If you need guidance to remove the lock cylinder, we can direct you to an instructional via YouTube or can provide you factory repair instructions if needed.

Step 3 - Ship your parts to GOLDEN ECU SERVICES at 340 Sprague Street Daytona Beach, Florida.

*You are responsible for shipping your parts! Return USPS Priority shipping (1-4 days) is included in purchase price

Once shipped, provide tracking # to us immediately to ensure we complete your order as fast as possible*

Step 4 - Remote button testing & programing (if necessary)

Once you have received your new key/s, EWS module and door lock cylinder and they are installed back on the vehicle, test all remote style keys to ensure the lock, unlock, and trunk buttons are operable

If any keys remote button functions are inoperable, you will need to program the remote function of all the keys consecutively. This is done easily by pressing a sequence of buttons on each remote while sitting inside the vehicle, one key after the other until the final key has been programmed.

This is only necessary if the remote functions of any of your existing keys are inoperable upon receiving them. We will send you video instructions to perform the additional programming if you so require. Unfortunately we cannot do this part for you without having the vehicle in our possession. See the instructions below for button pressing sequence.

----------------------------------------------------------------

Step-by-Step remote programing procedure

1. You must initiate the central locking system first: Insert key into driver’s door lock and open central locking system using the car key

2. Get into the car, close all doors and insert the key into the Ignition Switch

3. Using the car key, switch the ignition lock briefly to ignition lock position 1 and switch OFF again. The switching time must remain under 5 seconds, otherwise the system will not ready for initialization.

*You must turn switch position 1 (not position 2)

4. Remove the key from ignition switch, press lock button (BMW logo) and hold in. While still pressing the lock button, press the unlock button three times and release the lock button. The central locking system should activate and release all lock mechanisms in rapid succession to indicate that initialization procedure has been successfully completed

If the ZV (Central Locking) does not send a return signal, initialization bust be restarted. Once the first initialization process has been completed, another three radio transmitters can be initialized. For every radio transmitter, the procedure described under step 4 above must be repeated within 30 seconds, otherwise initialization stand-by is switched off. During initialization, all other existing radio transmitters must be initialized.

☛ If you have any additional remote keys - you start their programming on STEP 4. Do not insert any additional remote key into the ignition switch (if you do, the 1st key will lose it's programming) The ignition switch must never be reactivated during the initialization process. If this were to happen, then all radio transmitters would have to be re-initialized.
